<h3>Background Information</h3>
<ul>
The Spiro applet is an try to suggest a sincerely critical
tool for formulating a certain kind of graphic, whilst keeping
things pretty elementary as well as portable.
Written for Java 1.1, a Spiro applet has been tested and
found to work upon a following platforms:
<p>
<ul>
<li>Netscape Communicator 4.06, Windows 98
<li>MS Internet Explorer 4.01, Windows 98
<li>Netscape Communicator 4.73, Windows 98
<li>Netscape Communicator 4.72, Windows NT
<li>MS Internet Explorer 5.0, Windows NT
<li>MS Internet Explorer 5.0, MacOS
<li>Netscape Communicator 4.72, RedHat Linux 6.1
<li>Netscape Communicator 4.72, Solaris 8
</ul>
<p>
The applet will not work in versions of Netscape comparison than 4.02,
nor will it work in versions of MSIE comparison than 4.0. Also,
the applet does not appear to work in many versions of Netscape
on a Macintosh (not certain since yet).
<p>
Unlike many art-creation applets upon a web, a Spiro applet
allows we to save your work! Normally, saving your work locally from
an applet is difficult, since Java confidence restrictions prevent
applets from formulating internal files. The Spiro applet sidesteps
Java’s confidence restrictions by equates to of
a tiny server-side CGI complement which ‘reflects’ a applet-created
image behind to a web browser.
</ul>
<p>

That’s a page for a Java applet that creates mathematically accurate spirograph drawings. It’s complicated to explain. I would add commments to help you throught it.
