HOW CAN A REDUCE THE NOISE LEVEL GIVEN OUT BY MY PORTABLE GENERATOR?

I have a portable generator for my mobile catering section though a sound turn is utterly tall when we am trade at internal markets as well as have had a couple of complaints. we have a 3.4KvA generator.

Not knowing exactly what generator you have, I can’t give you specific instructions, but you can consider some of these:

    1) Set the generator farther away, and use very good and heavy duty power cables from the generator to your point of use.

    2) Consider if the generator can be enclosed in such a way as to reduce noise, but still allow for adequate ventilation, air intake, exhaust, and cooling.

    3) Consider if a muffler can be added to the exhaust and/or intake.

    4) If you have the money, shop for a quieter generator. You can usually get a noise listing in the specs for the generator. If it’s not listed, call the manufacturer. If they can’t provide you with that information, you don’t want to deal with them anyway.

    5) Check if there is anything rattling or vibrating on the generator or any of its parts that can be stabilized, fixed, or otherwise isolated.

    6) Depending on the amount of power you need at these markets, and on your budget, it may be feasible to replace the generator completely with a chain of deep cycle lead acid batteries, a charger, and a high power inverter. In making this consideration, you need to evaluate what the highest peek current you’d have will be, in order to get an adequately sized inverter. Note that starting current for some electrical motors can easily be several times what their rated current draws are. (Purely resistive loads have no such consequence.)

Hope this helps. Feel free to email me w/ any followup questions you might have.

    Switch to solar panels.

    Build an enclosure for it.
