Untorque the bolts in proper order.
Cover cylinders to stop junk that could ruin the engine.
Remove the old head gasket.
Spray gasket remover if it doesn’t totally come off.
Put a light rtv over the heads.
Let it get tacky after sitting for a while.
Place new gasket over it.
Put another small bead of rtv over the gasket.
Put the heads back on.
Tighten the bolts in kitty corner from each other snuggly to provide even pressure on the gasket instead of uneven pressure squeezing out the rtv.
Torque to the manufacturer recommendation.
